
Arsenal and Tottenham are allegedly set to battle it out for the services of Bordeaux man Yacine Adli.
According to FootMercato’s Santi Aouna, both sides are preparing an opening proposal for the 21-year-old midfielder.
He is a product of the Paris Saint-Germain academy but made the switch to Bordeaux from the French capital two years ago for a £5 million fee after making just one first-team appearance at the Parc des Princes.
Since then he has played 69 times for Bordeaux, netting five goals and notching eight assists in his time thus far in South West France.
Adli was a regular for Bordeaux in the 2020/21 term, making 35 appearances in the division as the club finished 12th in Ligue 1.
Mikel Arteta is targeting a playmaker at Arsenal as a long-term replacement for Mesut Ozil, with the Frenchman appearing to be a low-risk buy at a small sum.
James Maddison has also been linked with a move to North London, but any possible move is likely to cost the Emirates £100 million, according to Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers.
And former loan star Martin Odegaard who remains top of the Gunners’ wish list, and according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are still ‘keeping an eye’ on Martin’s situation.
